Facing the challenges of employment and restructuring
Employment at TITAN Group is characterized by long-term duration of service and low employee turnover. TITAN is continually seeking productivity improvements without layoffs. Taking advantage of opportunities offered from investment in labour-saving technology, reengineering business processes, project team profit improvement programs, etc. If the circumstances dictate a restructuring strategy, as in a crisis situation where survival may be at stake, the main policy followed in all TITAN operations is, first, to stop hiring, as well as replacing of employees that retire.
Wherever job losses are unavoidable they are strictly limited and dealt with careful and early communication and support provided to the employees to ensure as smooth a transition as possible to their new lives. Training programs and consultation for new job opportunities, as well as for retraining and changing career path are provided according to employees expectations.
In addition a restructuring program may also include the following:
- Voluntary early leave plans offered particularly to those closer to retirement
- Individual support and training for seeking new job opportunities and/or changing career path
- Specialized training and consultancy programs to support self-employment
- Opportunities for co-operation on a contract basis
- Additional social support and compensation beyond legal standards
